Things at Katmere are not going well for Grace and the others. She’s still trying to sort her feelings out for Jaxon and Hudson, not to mention deal with the Circle. With all of this going on, Grace is struggling to pass her senior year while trying not to die. But something’s wrong with Jaxon, and now there’s an official warrant for Grace’s and Hudson’s arrests. Grace and the others have survived a lot, but will they all make it through what’s to come?
I really enjoyed this book, though it wasn’t as great as the first two. Jaxon and Hudson are still my favorite characters and I loved getting to see more of them in this book! Jaxon’s jokes and Hudson’s sarcasm never fail to make me smile! Grace is still awesome, though I feel like we didn’t get to see her do too much in this book. Macy and the others are also so much fun to have around! I feel like this book set a lot of things up for the final book, and I can’t wait to see how things play out! Prepare for lots of romance and action!
Content warnings: sexual content & innuendos (nothing too explicit except for vampires being vampires…), explicit language, violence, panic attacks
MY FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT COVET: (no spoilers!)
- The Vega Brothers (obviously!)
- All the paranormal creatures that don’t typically receive much attention in fiction, especially YA
- The romance! (no spoilers, but it was better than I expected it to be, considering where book 2 ended)
- All the music references
- Does the cover count? It’s gorgeous!
- Did I already mention the Vega brothers?
- All the sarcasm and witty remarks (mostly from a certain British vampire…)
- The action scenes
- The scenery/settings!
- And, once again, the Vega brothers
There are a lot of other things I loved about this book, but I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone who hasn’t read it yet! For now, I hope this spoiler-free list is enough to express how much I enjoyed this book!
